Privacy

Short version: no cookies, no accounts, no advertising trackers, no analytics that identify you.

What is collected

To learn which kits are useful, the site records anonymous counts: “kit X was shown” and “a link on kit X was clicked”. Each record contains the kit or product identifier, the event type, the page path and a timestamp. It contains no IP address, user agent, cookie, device identifier or anything else that could identify you.

These counts are stored in a database hosted by Supabase (USA). As with any web request, Supabase’s servers see your IP address in transit and may keep it in short-lived infrastructure logs under their own policy; we do not store it.

Local storage

Your browser keeps three small things in localStorage: your light/dark theme choice, your “My list” of saved parts and books, and a count of the topics you have clicked (for example “homelab: 2”). The topic counts order the “picked for you” row on your device only. None of this is sent to us, and clearing site data removes it. The same anonymous events are also sent to Amplitude (a product-analytics service, USA) so that sessions and funnels can be counted; it is configured without cookies and without autocapture, using a random per-tab identifier in sessionStorage that disappears when the tab closes.

Third parties

Clicking an Amazon link takes you to Amazon, whose own privacy policy applies, and Amazon records that the visit came from this site so that commission can be attributed. If Amazon’s OneLink script is enabled it may redirect you to your local Amazon store; that script is served by Amazon and subject to its policy. Fonts are self-hosted; no third-party font or analytics requests are made.
